Black Ops 7 Zombies Cursed Mode: How to Unlock All Relics in Astra Malorum
Feb-01-2026 PSTRelics are one of the most impactful additions to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, fundamentally reshaping how matches play out in Cursed Mode. Once unlocked, Relics apply permanent modifiers that dramatically alter progression, difficulty, and resource management, turning each run into a high-risk, high-reward experience.
In Astra Malorum, players can currently obtain six Relics, divided into three tiers: Grim (Tier 1), Sinister (Tier 2), and Wicked (Tier 3). Each Relic requires a unique hunt involving hidden triggers, strict loadout requirements, and brutal challenge portals.
This guide breaks down how to unlock every known Relic, including current progress on the unsolved Tier 2 and Tier 3 discoveries.
How to Get All Tier 1 Relics (Grim Relics)
Seed Relic - Unlock Method and Effect
Effect: Disables the Mystery Box.
The Seed Relic becomes available starting on Round 20. When the round begins, do not kill any zombies. Instead, search the map for a gray-rarity pistol, which can be one of the following:
·Jager 45
·Velox 5.7
·Coda 9
These pistols can spawn in:
·Observatory Dome
·The Luminarium
·Archives of Orbis
·Machina Astralis
Once found, do not Pack-a-Punch or upgrade its rarity. Using only this pistol, kill the same number of zombies as in the current round. Track kills via the scoreboard. Instakill effects from a Kill Joy GobbleGum or the floating skull at Scholar's Way make this much easier.
After reaching the required kills, swap weapons and finish the round normally. Mr. Peeks laugh confirms success.
Head to the Observatory Dome, face north, and enter the green portal. Inside the trial, you are restricted to a Pack-a-Punched pistol. Rarity upgrades and ammo mods are allowed, but further Pack-a-Punch levels are disabled.
Gong Relic - Unlock Method and Effect
Effect: Field Upgrades only charge via Full Power.
Available from Round 20 onward, the Gong Relic requires:
·Tesla Storm Field Upgrade
·Dead Wire Ammo Mod
Avoid Augments, as excessive damage can break the trigger. A special zombie spawns with a lightning rod embedded in it, often referred to as "Rodney." This zombie never despawns.
To isolate it, train zombies in the Observatory Dome, teleport away, clear remaining enemies, then return.
Across three separate rounds, you must stun the rod zombie with Dead Wire and activate Tesla Storm at these locations:
·Observatory Dome → East door to Veilwalk
·Archive of Orbis → South door to Machina Astralis
·The Luminarium → East door to Stargazer's Courtyard
Each successful interaction lights a bulb above the doorway. Once all three are lit, a portal appears near the destroyed pillar at the Observatory Dome entrance.
The trial allows only electric damage. Dead Wire is mandatory, and enemies include Core Uber Klauses and a final HVT Uber Klaus. The M34 Novaline performs exceptionally well here.
How to Get Tier 2 Relics (Sinister Relics)
Spider Fang Relic - Unlock Method and Effect
Effect: Perk prices never decrease.
This Relic requires Tier 1 Cursed Mode and reaching Round 40. On that round, you must melee kill O.S.C.A.R. with a Knife while Wisp Tea is actively targeting him.
Recommended setup:
·Melee Macchiato
·Legendary Tier 3 Pack-a-Punched Knife
·Aether Shroud with Afterimage
Because of the strict timing, many players practice execution and positioning in Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies before attempting a real run.
Once successful, an orange portal appears on the west wall of the Archive of Orbis. The trial disables all Perks permanently and features five waves, including:
·HVT Uber Klaus (Wave 2)
·HVT O.S.C.A.R. (Wave 5)
The Apogee Annihilator trap and a Pack-a-Punched Ray Gun are essential for survival.
Matryoshka Doll Relic - Status Update
Effect: Halves Salvage drop rates.
This Relic has not yet been discovered. The trigger and trial conditions remain unknown and will likely involve high-round or conditional mechanics similar to the Spider Fang.
How to Get Tier 3 Relics (Wicked Relics)
Golden Spork Relic - Status Update
Effect: Enemies deal double damage.
The Golden Spork Relic is currently undiscovered. Ongoing testing suggests a high-round trigger, possibly involving melee-only conditions or cursed loadouts. Some players opt to buy CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies to safely brute-force potential triggers without risking progression runs.
Civil Protector Head Relic - Partial Solution
Effect: Lose a random Perk every 100 kills.
After reaching Round 60 on Tier 2 or Tier 3 Cursed Mode, enter the Museum Infinitum. Each corner contains a chandelier with one lit candle:
·Back Left: 3 candles (1 lit)
·Back Right: 1 candle (1 lit)
·Front Left: 2 candles (1 lit)
·Front Right: 2 candles (1 lit)
Candles must be extinguished using PhD Flopper explosions. Each correct interaction triggers a Mr. Peeks laugh, but the correct order remains unknown. Once solved, the trial portal appears at the Crash Site, featuring super sprinters and multiple HVTs.
Final Thoughts
Relics in Astra Malorum represent some of the most complex and punishing Easter-egg-style challenges ever introduced in Zombies. While several Wicked Relics remain unsolved, players can already secure all Tier 1 Grim Relics and the Spider Fang Relic, laying the groundwork for future discoveries.
