Elden Ring: Common Soldier Set
Apr-23-2025 PSTThe Common Soldier Set is a complete set of DLC Armor added to Elden Ring by the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The Common Soldier Set pieces are uncommon drops you can get by defeating Common Messmer Soldiers, a foe you can find in Messmer Soldier Encampments along roads, the Castle Ensis legacy dungeon, and the Fort of Reprimand. This armor set includes the Common Soldier Helm, Common Soldier Cloth Armor, Common Soldier Gauntlets, and Common Soldier Greaves.
Where to Get the Common Soldier Set
The Common Soldier Set pieces are uncommon drops you can get by defeating Common Messmer Soldiers, a foe you can find in Messmer Soldier Encampments along roads, the Castle Ensis legacy dungeon, the lower levels of the Fort of Reprimand, and many other locations throughout the Realm of Shadow.
To farm the Common Soldier Set, we recommend unlocking the Castle Front site of grace in northeast Gravesite Plain and defeating the Common Messmer Soldiers found in the nearby large Messmer Soldier Encampment, which we circled in red on the map below. If you don't get the whole set after defeating all the Common Messmer Soldiers in this area, you can reset them and try again by resting at the nearby site of grace.
Alternatively, another good Common Soldier Set farming spot is in the Fort of Reprimand in south Scadu Altus, which we've circled in blue on the map above. Once at the Fort of Reprimand site of grace, head southeast and enter the small door that leads down a flight of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, you'll find the fort's lower levels, which have many Common Messmer Soldiers standing guard.
Depending on your Discovery stat, the amount of time it takes to farm this set will vary. To speed things up, you can increase your Discovery Stat by raising your Arcane attribute, equipping a Silver Scarab talisman, and consuming Elden Ring items that boost item discovery, such as Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot and Silver Horn Tender.
By following these strategies, you'll make your Elden Ring farming runs much more efficient, maximizing both your item drops and Elden Ring runes rewards.
