Option 1: Wise Man's Mask in Shadow Keep

You can acquire the Wise Man's Mask early by helping Leda defeat Ansbach through a Red Summon Sign in Shadow Keep. This ends Ansbach's questline but grants you not only the mask but the entire Ansbach's Set and Longbow.

Steps to End Ansbach's Questline Early:

Turn Leda against Ansbach:

Help Leda defeat Hornsent in Shadow Keep or summon Hornsent to defeat Messmer the Impaler.

Speak with Leda:

Visit her at the Highland Cross-site of Grace. If she doesn't mention her plans to kill Ansbach, pass the time at the site of grace and try speaking with her again.

Give Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll:

Ansbach can be found on the first floor of the Shadow Keep Specimen Storehouse. Offer him the scroll to trigger the next step.

Dialogue with Freyja:

Before giving the scroll, exhaust Freyja's dialogue on the Seventh Floor of the Storehouse and inform Ansbach about her decision to get the Letter for Freyja.

Summon Signs:

Travel to the Storehouse, First Floor. There will be two summon signs—Red and Gold.

Steps to Obtain the Wise Man's Mask in Enir-Ilim:

Progress through Enir-Ilim Legacy Dungeon:

Reach the Gate of Divinity site of grace, located at the summit of Enir-Ilim.

Summon Ansbach for the Final Boss Fight:

At the door to the Final Boss, summon Ansbach to assist you in battle.

After the Fight:

Once the boss is defeated, head east from the Gate of Divinity site of grace.

Retrieve the Wise Man's Mask:

Near a stone wall, you'll find Ansbach's body with a glowing item beside it. Picking this up grants you the Wise Man's Mask, the rest of his armor, and the Obsidian Lamina.
